Skeptical about organic products
I’ve read several articles written by skeptics who always say that test prove organic food is no more nutritional than “regular” food. Statements like this always miss the whole point. It is not that organic food has more nutrition, its the fact that they are healthier for you because they are not contaminated with all the insecticides, pesticides and fertilizers that are harmful to your health.
The same can be said for products such as organic baby clothing, organic crib sheets, baby blankets, crib matttresses and other baby accessories. These organic products are healthier because they do not contain the harmful chemicals that are found in other “regular” products.
Reduce the risk of Asthma
The best way to reduce the risk of your baby getting asthma is to avoid surrounding him with allergens such as pollen, dust mites, mold, feathers, pets, or harmful chemicals that triggers such asthmatic conditions. These allegens exist in the air, the carpeting and the bedding of a nursery.
It is important from the very beginning to provide a clean environment that does not produce off-gasing from the chemicals in baby bedding and clothing. Non-organic clothing and bedding contains flame retardant chemicals that could be very harmful and be the trigger for asthma in your infant. Try to provide your baby with baby products to cut down the risk of exposure to these triggers. Use organic baby clothing, baby accessories, baby blankets and baby bedding to create a safer, more allergen free atmosphere.
