organic crib mattressEvery parent has to make choices about what they think is the best thing for their baby.  The right choice would be to start your baby sleeping on an organic crib mattress from the very beginning.  This organic crib mattress is made with lots of organic wool so that your baby will sleep in comfort without being exposed to all those harmful chemicals that are found in ordinary crib mattresses.  The wool layer is quilted to an organic cotton outer fabric.  The wool does not contain any poly fibers and is naturally flame retardant.  The coils provide an even support for your baby.

Once you have made this choice, you can feel confident that you are providing the best sleeping environment for your baby in choosing only natural fibers with no added chemicals.

The advantages of organic wool

crib mattressNo one has ever been able to duplicate the qualities of wool because of its natural comfort, resilience and versatility.  Wool is hypoallergenic and is resistant to bacteria, mold and mildew.  It is a natural product and is not made from crude oil like other synthetics and because it is organic, you don’t breathe in the out-gassing caused by chemicals as they break down.

Because the wool fibers form pockets of air, your body is naturally insulated and your body temperature is kept warm in cold weather and cool in warm weather.  Your body will stay dry because wool wicks moisture away from your body.  Wool also is naturally flame retardant as it extinguishes itself when touched with flame.  There are no chemical fumes to breathe in because of fire retardant chemicals being added.  Wool keeps dust mites away because it does not retain moisture to create an environment in which dust mites can survive.  Most importantly, wool promotes better sleep because of the cushiony softness that relieves pressure points and muscle aches.

For these reasons wool is very important when used in making baby mattresses.
